Long time no post...
I'm doing a guy with a pretty big chainsaw (mmh, definately no pun intended, but if I did ....well, that's a really silly joke.)

The name on it, Husqvarna , is a swedish manufacturer of...chainsaws :)

C&C welcome (bring it on!). Sorry if the DL is big.

EDIT** As I forgot to mention (and as you'll notice below:electric: ) this is a study only trying to improve in digital colouring and lineart and inspired by the art of STalecracker

The overall brown color of the chainsaw is a little bit "boring"...since it's the focus, you could vary the colors a little bit...if you are going for a rusty look, you should use the rust only partially not covering the whole chainsaw.

Maybe the colors are too saturated, considering that he is standing in half-darkness...

Nice chainsaw...

A couple of obvious similarities there... But not as many as this off your same web site...

Wouldn't mind so much except there is NO mention of your source inspiration... Also- the bird is a direct copy of one I did as well as ANOTHER image off your site. Please clear this up for me?

P.S.- All of these image were in Heavy Metal magazine. And are mine.

Honestly, the chainsaw didn't bother me that much... until I saw the others. I am waiting to hear from Gallon concerning this. As it is the Holiday season... it might be a while. I visit a coupla billion sites a day... to keep up with my peers, see what everyone is up to, make sure I am not UNINTENTIONALLY aping someone, and to make sure I (or anyone else I am familiar with) is not being copied. At present I reserve my emotions until I discover what the reason behind the plagarism. If they were "Just studies" no biggie... just post the source. If not... BOOM.

hahahahahahaha!!

thats great Joel! i wana give you a high five or something.
this is hilarious.

youve got a fanboy!! :D

Stalecracker has a valid point. if your gonna copy another artists work,, thats fine,,,, just give the guy credit. cause if you dont,, it then transformes from a "study" into a "low down rip off"... it also transformes an "inspiring student",,,,, into a "filthy slime dog terd biter"..

oh christ!!!!! how many times must this point me made on these god forsaken art forums?!?!?

sorry i jumped in.. if this thread fills up with 50 more comments like mine, saying exactly the same thing it will become obscene.

lets keep the drama on the lowdown..

peace,, in the middle east!

Mmmh, okay. Both these images are for training in colouring. I have no intention in selling these as I clearly know, as you have seen, that they are VERY inspired by the heavy metal Fakk2 concept art.
I have not in any way tried to take creds for the ideas behind these drawings, and when I send my work to companies I never included any of the above, as they are for studying.

Needless to say I'm very sorry for any insult taken by you Stalecracker, and I gotta say I really like what you have done (otherwise I'd never use them as study material).

I'll link your website from mine (from the greyblue alien pic ASAP, when I get home to my own computer) and I'll edit the first post.
Hope that'll make it alright and ofcourse my sincere apologies

Hi Gallon-
Thanks much for clearing this up in the public forum as well as emailing me privately.

I appreciate your kind words concerning my old work and you showed more class in just stating the facts and clearing up the matter than most would.

So- YOU keep up the good work and, as far as I'm concerned, this thread is dead.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays to all.
