I am trying to use a Wacom Graphire 2 with Painter 6, and I get this problem when I set the cursor to mouse mode, but in Painter 6 the brush strokes act like they are still being input by pen mode.

Does anyone know if this is a common problem?
Can I use mouse mode with Painter 6?
Can anyone with a similar setup try using Painter 6 with mouse mode and verify if it is a common problem, or something screwed up with me?

Hi,

I'm using an Intuos 2 tablet and when I set it to Mouse Mode and try to draw in Painter 6.1 my cursor flies all over the screen. It's impossible to use that way.

I don't use the mouse that came with my Intuos 2 tablet and don't know much about how it works or how to set it up except what's in the Wacom Tablet Properties control panel Help menu. If your Graphire came with a mouse, you'll probably find information in the Help Index under "Positioning Mode"..

The only mouse I have hooked up is the one that came with my computer and it sits on top of my computer all the time. I use my tablet and stylus for everything.

Set your tablet to Pen Mode and you should be fine.

If you want to use a regular mouse, you can do that too but you won't have pressure sensitivity.
