a circus illustration i did for my illustration 1 class. this is in gouache and colored pencil. it was due today and i painted all of it last night...stayed up till 3:30, not cool. let me know what you think.

Yo, my girlfriend is in your class....
Anyways, this piece is cool. Are you familiar with Wayshak and with Banach? It reminds me quite a bit of both of these guys. How many hours did you clock on it?

the first thing that came to my mind was "UT OH dark stuff!"
then I saw the little kid looking things in the rib cage and started laughing...

I like the mood, probably because I have a creepy view of circuses and carnivals. I also like the colors and the people inside the thing.
The cards make me think more of a carnival than a circus, or maybe even a magic show. It's been a long time since I last went to a circus, so I'm not sure what they have there.
One thing I'd change if I were to edit the picture is the drill. I'm not sure what that's about.
