this is the deal:

We are a small team (two people) who are producing a RPG called "World of Dactylus" and have recieved the offer by a magazine publisher to showcase our game on a four page spread.

The magazine is called Creative Live, and mainly writes about all things 3D. They would like us to talk about how we develop the game, which problems we face / solve etc, but at the same time they want to see 3D Images of the game itself - this is where you come in :)

We need a good 3D modeler, who can create a highres image that would cover the first two pages, along with additional images for the other two pages (Buildings, Characters etc)

This is a rough sketch of how the 3D image on the first two pages could look like

The final 3D image should have certain areas where a headline and textblocks are readable. That is why i left the rock (foreground, righthand side) fairly dark, so that the layouters can place text there.

You won't have to do it all alone though - we are currently working on the simpler 3D models and will provide the 2D textures as needed. Yet what we do need is someone who can model the character in the front. He will be the eye-catcher and obviously will need a good deal of detail

This is an orthographic view of what the character could look like

Now for the "good and the bad"
Good:
1.) Your work will appear in a magazine that sells nationwide in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. (You will recieve a copy, naturally)
2.) The Issue will furthermore be presented / sold at this years Game Convention in Leipzig, Germany. So chances are pretty good that publishers and game designers will see your work.
3.) We offer you to join us as 3D modeler after this project is done - after all we'll need someone to do the 3D stuff for the game itself :)

bad:
1.) not really bad, but tough all the same.. it all needs to be done by June 4.
2.) The job isen't paid - fame and glory are all we'll get as of yet - but - we plan on finding a publisher as soon as we have our demo together. So if all goes well, we'll get paid eventually for the work put in.

Should you be interested, i've put up a site with additional information and images concerning the project:
