Yay, it's my birthday!
Started this earlier in the week and finished it up tonight. It's a little sloppy, but I like how it turned out.

I think it turned out very well...... you're makin' me miss my pens and markers.. I couldnt bring them home from college for x-mass.......

Really like the wings and jets on his back:) And damn I wish I had a set of pens like that. Im stuck with my wacom :(

Theo: It's just Prismacolor Cool Greys (10%, 30%, 50%, 70%), cheapo drafting pens, and White paint. Not too expensive. Probaby run you like $20. Also, I think if you hunt around you can find people that have made nice marker-like custom pallettes for Painter. Not sure if that's obsolete with version 7 or not though or how well they work.

wow, very nice design. what are some good tips/ references for drawing robotic/mecha? that seems to be my weakest link. Keep it up!

Awesome sketch ! I like how those markers add to the inking. Simple yet effective. : p
*I think you could do something similar in photoshop just by putting the opacity down on your p.brush.
