Help with career

Greetings everybody,
my name is Tom and i am looking for a career in conceptual art for games, cartoons, movies etc.
i have tried looking for a course at my local univesities but to no avail. could anyone point me in the right direction?

Books, books and more books.

All the making of books, look at the art work and analyz what they are doing.

Study tradional fine arts, mastering in illustration.

Go to the conceptart, workshops. I know it sounds corny but I learnt more from Jason's 1 hour color theory than three years of art school and ten million books on color.

PS And draw. draw draw draw draw. Choose your favorite book and design everything in it. The characters sets props etc.
