Here's a quick 15min sketch of Link sailin' the high seas... for me to loosen up a bit..
I'd like some C&C on the colors...... I'd like to do some peices with bright vibrant colors...
also the composition...

I'm usin' Painter Classic.. I dont like it.. It's really hard to add in highlights without using the paint pattern... blarg... if anyone is using Painter Classic give me some tips please!!

Hey its link. I'm really excited about it as well. I don't have painter classic, but you composition doesn't seem to bad. I like link in the boat in the foreground, But it looks kind of flat. To make it look like it has more depth, I would make the castle a lot smaller, due to perspective it should be and . I'd make the waves closer to the background smaller. . I like the whole vibrant thing, but I would make the castle more gloomier and maybe not so vibrant and then have some lights from the castle catch the our point of view. Kind of like the lights shining throught the fog. Also, I suggest to make the clouds farther away smaller, because of perspective.

Another thing is that link is huge in comparisson to the boat. I would just make the boat a lot bigger. Maybe some of it could be out of the picture frame. Giving us links view point . To make us feel at home with Link, like we're right there on the boat with link.

Well I hope that helps. Post any changes you might make, see ya:D

I think it is just lovely. i would not worry about the perspective beacause thew peice is styalized. I like the loose lines, but some could be tightened a bit, I do realize that this was done in 15 minutes however. I like it. Keep practicing.
