"...in the classic tradition" was the tagline. Looks like a good place that's opening up for folks in the philadelphia area. They offer fine art program @ 395$/ 15wk course; open studio 12$/3hr; or workshop type classes @ 25$/3hr.
the opening day is May 23rd, 1PM~4PM. 421 N. 7th St. Suite 400. Between Spring Garden and Callowhill.
I'm going to that to check it out. maybe I'll see a few Philadelphia area CAers there.

After reviewing and attending several Academies and Universities who advertise themselves as “classically inspired” and geared to traditionally motivated students, only the Schuylkill Academy of Fine Art lived up to my expectations.
I am a full time student at the Schuylkill Academy of Fine Art and have attended classes there for almost three years. I have learned more in one full semester at the Schuylkill Academy than all my previous years of training combined.
Studying at Schuylkill Academy under their professors, master sculptor Stuart Mark Feldman and master painter Kevin P. Lewellen, is a once in lifetime opportunity. Professor Feldman and Professor Lewellen are dedicated, sincere, and extremely talented instructors. They possess a true understanding of the traditional arts; both of them have the willingness and ability to pass on their knowledge.
Schuylkill Academy is a perfect learning environment for students at all levels, from the beginner to the experienced artist. The classes are kept small, which gives you more time with the professors, and the students are very supportive of one other. The Academy has high ceilings, natural light and the classroom space to move freely around the models.
So to those who stand in awe at the museums and wish to follow in the footsteps of the old masters, the Schuylkill Academy is what you have always sought for.
