I really like these, the flying robot is my favorite one. The last one, something bothers me about the proportions, the head seems too big for the armor he is wearing, or maybe its his shoulders. But at any rate, you have inspired me to do some work, so hopefully I'll have something to post later tonight. 2-4 hours though, that is really fast. Keep up the great work.

Ouch!

That first one is mouthwatering.

I'm not sure if this counts as a crit. More of an enquiry. Is the glow on his back from the flames of his propulsion system, or from the sun?

Good stuff. I think it´s the small simple details, like the small cables, that keep my eye at your pics looking for more. I wish i could find something to crit though, but they´re all good.

thanks for the feedback,

marko; thanks man. Your tutorials and comments help a lot.

Matt Smith; yeah I think you're right. I wanted to make some sort of tight suit...but the head does look a little large. maybe he's just a skinny beanpole underneath? ;)

Summer Pudding ; It's just light from the sun/environment...he doesnt really have a propulsion system..I more envision him just having the power of flight like super-man. Although he would look cool with a big rocket strapped to his back....maybe I'll save that for a future painting.

Good stuff man, I agree your getting good at these.

The flying bot dude is my fav what would be cool is if we saw a hint of a ground scape or small city..nothing detailed just a hint. Really sweet though. It reminds me of the Iron Giant one of my all-time fav animated flicks.

These are very painterly and have a great mood to them. Beautiful progress, these show creativity and technical know how. To quote the moto from the new McDonalds ads "I'm lovin' it".

Truly great work

Image #1: The details on the armour are superb, though where it is blurred to symbolise movement creates an antithetic(I think that is the word, antitese in Danish, contrast) to the entire image. It might help if you made the back of him more structured in a sense, the image is surely not build for simplicity. In the lower right corner some of your lines are visible, this creates are more cg authentic look to your image though it really stands out in a bad way. Since his front arm is closest to the viewer I would assume that it would be lighter since that is general way of reflecting on images that the light is close to the viewer. Amazing work, amazing palette fuck you fuck you (I meant that in the most respectful way you know?).

Image #2: Very cool! It reminds me of some robot who is at the beach and just quickly testing if the water is all right. The design is really slick and vibe works, but I do not understand why you did not make his back leg darker? One other nitpick would be that the shadow is actually not needed, but hey whatever it looks great!

Image #3: Very sharp, we can ignore all feedback on the background ok? His face is very good and you captured a good essence of personality (even though his personality (in my eyes) is someone doing a trivial task and is a slave to some deed). The armour and weapon works, though I am a bit against the fading into black feature, it does not compliment the image. I would not mind seeing the blood being thicker and being in some kind of dripping movement. Thumbs up!

Thanx for sharing!

thanks guys, glad you're digging these.

TARGETE; thanks J.P - I love Iron Giant as well. In fact anything with big robots in it, I'm a fan of.

Mezz DeJé; good observations, thanks a lot. I am a sucker for fading things into black. It's part trying to create some mood, and part laziness.

I like them all :)

The last guy is well placed on the ground, we can feel his weight, very good. With a lighter background, this character may have more impact.
I also think that the blood on the weapon is too much strong, the one on the arm is more subtule (in my opinion :))

The egg robot is really good. Best ideas are in simplicity (even if it is not simple to do ^^)

You use nice brushes too
