I can't get the just add water brush to work right. It won't blend the colors. It adds color instead. What i want it to do is to set some tones down and then blend them in with the just add water brush. But it won't blend. it just colors. Can someone please help me out?:(

I figured it out. Its that the resat was at 100%. So now I can blend ,but how do I stop it from first picking up the white? To fix this I need to put the resat, under the well option back to 100%, but then I won't be able to blend. You can see the dilemma I'm in. So can someone help me out here?

I think you can go to the layers command and check that box that says pick up underlying color. I think that'll prevent the white from mixing.

See my response in the following thread, for information on blending and smearing brush variants (this includes the Liquid's Just Add Water variant), and a couple of alternative methods, depending on your situation.

It may also be that the best way for you to blend your colors is to work on the Canvas where there's no white edge problem.
Good luck,
