First piece ever in painter. Man that program is hard to get used to once you've used photoshop for ever.:)
Well, here's the nebula. Started off as just weird shapes, and It came out looking good, Well, at least I like it!:)

Very nice.. if this is your first in painter then you should be on the right track...
I've never tried to paint a nebula .. so I'm not justified in any cratique.. but work on the depth a little it seems a little two dimensional.... (maybe pull the right side in a little for more of an eliptical shape)
but then again maybe that's what you were goin' for it does look good as a 2d peice..

Nice...good work. Painter is hard to get used to but POWERFUL as a traditional media program once you get used to it. I think what would make this look more 3d is to make the first part of the bottom "strand" of light less visible. The other parts of the nebula would block it from our sight. I'm not sure what this is called. The white light that shoots through the center of the nebula. I would maybe extend them out a little further and make only the very bottom part of the bottom strand of light visible...I think that would help. Sorry...sheesh that must have been extremely confusing! I hope it helps in some way though hehe. Looks awesome!
