Ok, so I am biased, but I mean it. This is my wife's work, just a couple pieces. I plan on shooting her pad and posting those soon. She is amazing, only getting better everyday.
These two paintings were gifts to me. The one of us is in acrylic, the one of our cat and I is in oil, and done in just a few hours.
She is amazing. Here is her website, www.vanessalemenart.com check it out too and post up any feedback, she doesnt have time to write a lot, but some feedback would definitely get her inspired to start posting herself more...heh
Thanks for looking,
ROn

She will also be attending the workshop in Austin, she teaches at the Watts atelier, so bug her about art, she has a lot of answers too...heh

Hey Fred, you are lucky to have a wife that shares your interest. She is very talented. I can also see on these that her techniques have been influenced by you, which is a good thing :)

Hi! it's me, Vanessa, aka Ron's wife, mrs. Lemen-flickstone... I posted in LIFE DRAWING, LEARNING, TECHNIQUES, & TUTORIALS too.. I appreciate the comments, feedback, and the encouragement. Also, since I'm new here, I don't know everyone of course, so I need to get acquainted with all the names and the work. In time. I look forward to checking all this out. I love this place. It's so motivating. so much awesome work..
..so, real quick:
Crash - I love how you're so optimistic.. hehe..
liquidwerx - thanks. It was a gift for Ron. that's our cat, Sadie. she's the best.. a total poser.
Joachim - it's such a cool thing - ron and me sharing the same interests. Ron's a huge influence on me in so many ways.. it's a tremendous compliment that you see that in my work. we've known each other for 20+ years, so the people who know us well would probably tend to say that the influence goes both ways.
el coro - oh, stop, I'm blushing... heheh.. no, really, the energy IS so awesome - in our house, AND at the school. You should totally come check it out. I know a lot of the guys on the forum who go to Watts would love a visit from you. Myself included. I haven't been here on the forum much, but I do know your work. You kick ass. Love it. Thanks for sharing. I too look forward to TX. It's gonna be sooo cool. Can't wait.
and last, but not least (I posted this in LIFE DRAWING, LEARNING, TECHNIQUES, & TUTORIALS, but wanted it here too)
- Ron(fred) - You rock! I feel the love. Thank you, infinity times. Your inspiration, encouragement, motivation, support, wealth of knowledge and tough love.. is awesome. I think I speak for everyone here when I say...your willingness to share with everyone is so incredible and so appreciated. It's one of those things that feels like saying thank doesn't seem like enough. It's one of those things that feels like saying thank doesn't seem like enough. ..but thank you.

thanks all. I hope to post some more tonight. gotta get some stuff together later when I'm free from the dregs of my day job.
liquidwerx - I'll talk it over with ron and see what he says. hehe.. but by now, with you at 27, most likely we'd just kick you out of the house for being a loud-mouthed bastard so you could pay for your own damn roof over your head. heheh..
;)

Anyway, more soon!

Vannesa, your stuff is great. I first noticed your working hanging at Zanzabar down in PB. My friend and I gave your stuff a full critique. :) I was suprised to learn that the artist was you after meeting Ron. I can see the progression of your work: it's getting awesome! Hopefully I'll get a chance to learn a thing or two from you up at Watts.
