A project thats I'm currently working on these are some mech designs for a game. They are going to transform into jets (ala transformers) and are all using the same skeleton, so there were a few design restrictions, but the only one I'm not really happy with is the 4th one.

Anyways comments and crits are welcome

I like those.. very stylistic... they look pretty unique from the usuall robot stuff..
if I can offer any C&C i would just give the designs more recognizable features of the things they transform into.(jets, wings, wheels, etc.).. but I'd have to see the transformations to really say...
I'd also work on the hip area..(espesially the first one).. I have the hardest time with hips myself so I understand..
from a realistic aproach their legs would chaif and added hips would give the space they need and maybe add to the composition of the designs...

Thanks, about the jet features, the wings arn't shown there because at the time we were not sure how they are going to be attached on the back; The jets are in the knees (the legs fold all the way to touch the back and the engines are in the hips.) And wheels arn't needed because they transform to land :)

I do also agree that the hips need work, as well as the groin

Thanx

the body of the third aeroformer, with the arm's of the first aeroformer and you'll have your self one great aeroformer.

member to always drive backwards when running, yes running

Good ideas. I would suggest working on form and perspective more. Try drawing simple objects like cubes and cylinders as practice and these types of drawings will come out faster and more solid looking. It might be good to get a simple drawing book if you don't own one yet, How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way is a good one for some basics. These are good starts, keep developing them.

Yah I think I probably should work on perspective things, my problem is that my style is normally quite sketchy and fluid, with multiple lines, and when I try to clean up the work a bit (or do a clean work from scratch as is the case here) I pick some of the lines that arn't exact for the perspective...

anyways heres an update with my model done from the 3rd concept piece:
