Hi!
I'm new to this forum and I 'd like to show you some examples of my work. Most of the following pictures are taken from french roleplaying books as COPS (hi Aleksi!:chug: ) and In Nomine Satanis/Magna Veritas... You'll see sketches as well.
I'll try to post more later and regularly!
See you.

Hi!
Very glad that you appreciate all that stuff!:)
Noplz: I know Berni Wrightson and he is one of my favorite illustrator. Above all I love his damn black and white knack, he is THE MASTER OF THE MACABRE...
Thanks a lot for the welcome El Coro. As I said before, I will try to post regularly works.
In the meantime, here are some fresh stuff. All taken from kid games... And in a different style!

Holy patchoulli! That's some lively linework - you've put a lot of refreshing but subtle humor into all your drawings. The style switch-up for the children's games proves you're either a talented pro or two people sharing an account.

Hi Wetterschneider!
It may be strange according the two different styles but I am the same guy... Eh I mean there is only one soul in my body. Or something else... There are several ways of understanding this concept.:)
And I don't know if I am a talented guy but I earn my living by drawing all day and night long. So I am a pro...:chug:

Thank you all!
What a reception !
Then, here is an handful of new ones. Some of them were drawn for The Quintessential Elf II (Mongoose publishing) about to hit the shelf by the end of the current month. Others are taken from various roleplaying books... The gothic one is a digital drawing.
Any C&C are welcome !

I love your style! I miss seeing work done in crisp inks, on subjects that don't reek of "emo art fag". Wow, these are nice. I'm going to admire these for a long time to come.
However, since these posts are made up of sketches and works that may not otherwise be considered "complete" or "polished", do all of them really go in "It's Finally Finished!"? I could be wrong, but not all of them seem section-appropriate.
Oh, but I wish I was as skilled as you are at this junction. Wow. Zing.

Salut compatriotes ! :chug:
Amazing works ! Very well executed ! Post more !!
One question, what do you use for your black ink lines? Pencils or specials pens?
Swal
May 14th, 2004, 10:11 AM
Thank you all for the compliments!
All black and white pictures are inked with a thin 3/0 brush and china ink.

When you say 3/0 Brush you mean a pen or a pencil ?
Tu veux dire au pinceau ou au stylo?
Si c'est Stylo, quelle marque qui donne cet aspect très fin-épais?
Sorry to ask it in French, but my english is really poor!

May 14th, 2004, 10:23 AM
He means brush...3/0 are the sizes of those brushes he uses...
Welcome to our forums bro your stuff is excellent...your brushstrokes are so crisp...i am a big fan of those inked lines...
Swal
May 14th, 2004, 10:33 AM
Ok, so let's go for a little french lesson!
N'importe quel pinceau fait l'affaire tant qu'il s'agit d'un 3/0 en taille et qu'il est prévu pour faire de l'aquarelle. Après, les déliés viennent avec la pratique.
In rough english: any brush will do nicely, downstrokes and upstrokes coming with the practical experience!:)

The pencilled magician is my fav. Pencil is somehow less 'set' than ink and can have more meanings... Ugh, I don't know how to word myself.

Very solid work. Great composition and line widths, and your use of value and placement of blacks rocks. I occasionally see some anatomy issues and your proportion is off once in a while, but over all, very very nice.
