Great Drawing, but...

Again, this doesn't really look like a finished picture, I see only a gradient going on your drawing, and some anatomy errors.

there's not really a color... more of a gradient...

but ifyour askin' about the gradient I'd go more with a burnt brown... he looks kinda piraty with that nice peg-leg...so some brown might go nice........

just my thoughts... then again it is 4 in the mornin' and I can't get to sleep....

thanks for the replies everyone. its the most replies ive ever gotten!
i usually color normally, but i like being different, and wanted to try another coloring method.
i colored it using a color layer with overlay and a gradient layer that i used the eraser on to add more to the highlights.

as for the no nipples thing, he is wearing armor on his chest.

thanks again guys.

my .oo2 yen is that for some reason the shading/hilites you did on the guy gets lost somehow...

imho maybe find some way to seperate him from the background a bit more and the detail you've put in him would show up better. also i'd like to see the background a little bit diffrent color... a little darker/brighter than the color on the guy.

cool drawling though.

The highlights from the gradient on the body are very understated because of the gradient going across the whole image. It might look okay if you erased the backgroundy portion of the gradient and left the coloring over the skin. I didn't evwen notice any highlights before you mentioned what you had done. Then, I looked closely, and saw them.
Red isn't a very good color... The character looks more mellow, and the red adds sort of a forced violent/serious mood that doesn't really fit with the comic style of the character.
