I have finally found the style I wish to pursue but I have no idea what type of materials were used, please take a look at this photo ( original concept work for Sleepy Hollow- executioners axe) I love the look of this drawing or whatever it is! I think there are different ways to achieve this look. Personally I would try mixed media - Acrylic Inks or Watercolur and coloured pencils.

Definitely some kind of 'quick' paint...my guess is watercolors and colored pencils. That's no guarantee though that you'll be duplicating the style...there are billions of ways to handle media.
