I'm just getting started with acrylic abstract painting and need help.
When I see a great abstract, non-representational painting I want to know what technique they used to physically to do something or create an effect. Like which layer is on top or bottom, how dry the paint was before they put the next on, what kind of tool was used for that. etc.
One great painter I contacted, Paul Shiers, said the best way is to get a bunch of canvases and just go for it. Sounds like great advice but want more info!
Any great books? Should I find lessons?
