Sweet, I finally figured this stuff out! Sorry for any deviations to the rules. Ok, here's my first submission. I sketched it out and scanned it into PS 7. I used my Wacom Tablet to color it up and here it is.

Those are pretty damn good! I love your rendition of the Which King. The monochromatic color scheme and dark "Rembrandt-esque" value scale look great. Welcome.

:chug: cheers, über cyclops by the way :) Here is a little suggestion. your sky looks all sunny but there is almost no trace of any sunshine on the enviorment. all the shadows are soft wich indicates clowds cover but your sky tells me otherwise. and sun can create some interesting things in your scene

here is a quick paint over of what I mean

Thanks for the tip! Did you use a dodge layer to get that effect? If not what did you use? This is the kind of interaction and critiquing I've been looking...Any other suggestions are welcome.

This is pretty fun- for the most part I like it.

Something to think about for next time: The cyclop's actions take away from any realistic feeling that could be achieved with the scene.

The warrior is standing in a strong, knee-bent pose, showing that he has been waiting for awhile (as opposed to just having run there). The cyclops realizes that the warrior is there and is making eye contact, yet, he has just attacked an area 10+ feet away from the warrior, who, again, has been standing there for awhile.

It it still a fun piece but lacks a probable situation in such a setting/story.

Maybe his buddy got squished? :D The cyclops is just rubbing it in by staring at him and laughing.

Two women standing outside a shop looking in the window....

One woman says to the other "thats the one I'd get"

and then a cyclops comes out and hits her!

(thats the one eyed git)...doh....ok....I'll get me coat...
