Hi!

The time has come ... and I wanna buy a Wacom Intuos 2 DinA5 tablet. :p

At home I worked with an old ArtPad 2 and at work I'm working with an Volito.

My question:

The Intuos 2 is very expensive compared to this other tablets. Is it worth it's money?

I think the ArtPad has 256 pressure steps and the volito 512, right? So 1024 is great... but what are other features of this tablet which make it to the most used one out there?

Thanks!

Best wishes,

Chris

oh ... and I forgott:

What is the difference from the USB version to the COM version? Is a fluid working possible with bose of them, or are there 'reaction' problems? (I have those with the volito USB!)

im have no authority to comment on this, i literally bought my first pad today, a intuos 2 12X12... right now im worrying if i will ever learn how to use it... i swear im drawing at a preschool level. i knew there was a learning curve, bu ti can't see myself getting over this for a long time. i can however comment on your pressure sensitivity query. going from a thin to thick line is smooth as silk... nothing more to say, its the most graceful lines i have ever seen. as for the usb version vs the other one, i would just go with usb, kuz than you can plug it into just about anything including macs and only have to install drivers.

Thank you!

I bought an intuos 2 DinA5 (6x8) right after posting the question... I'm very happy I did. It's the USB version and it is working fine.

I started sketching digitally which wasn't possible with the other tablets... they are not sensitive enough or have a the 'wrong feeling'. Now it works fine :D

Good working with YOUR new one ;)
