Is this a dagger I see before me, or what?

My sister wanted me to help her with her homework - a Playbill cover for a fictional production of Macbeth.

Somehow the dagger doesn't look like being before Macbeth. And he doesn't really look at it. Perhaps a sideview would have made the picture clearer.

Thanks for your reply; I didn't intend for there to be an actual dagger , though - just trying to show Macbeth being unable to stop thinking about the murder, having it run over and over in his mind's eye.
