hi, i plan to visit nyc in the summer (seccond time, cant wait)

and i was thinking of attending a summer school, or getting an internship at a studio or game company etc. to get some vital experience.
i've e-mailed a few schools to get info on summer schools, but i am equally interested in an internship.

so, i was wondering if anyone knew of companies or studios etc that are looking for interns (i think it would have to be paid, i need to pay my mum back for the flights and hotel somehow ^-^) in nyc, or nearley anywhere else in the US (though i dont want to travel too far. keeping to the east would be good)
i've tried looking on the internet, but i cant really find anything.

thanks for any info.

I usually post up whatever internships I've come across, or had thrown my way up on the Employment & Grants section (http://studio.ecau.net/phpBB2/index.php?c=7) of the ECAU forum (http://studio.ecau.net/phpBB2/index.php).

To be honest, most of the internships that pay, want students about to graduate from college, because they're looking for potential employees. The ones that only offer college credit expect you to get the internship approved by the school before you're considered for them, basically you've got to already be in school. If you do any internship outside of those pre-requirements, they're probably looking for someone to work for free, and that's pretty much illegal, incase you were unaware. Check out the non-paying projects section of the forum, I usually post up internships that I've found there. Best of luck to ya.
