Hey guys, long time looker, about third time poster :-) anyway, here's my punisher drawing. I did the pencils, my friend did the inks, and i cleaned it up a little on the comp. Sorry it looks a little light, i too lazy to change the contrast. And yes, i know the scope is facing the wrong direction, that was an error with the inker :-)

So anyway, i'd love to see some of you guys color this. I think it'd be awesome. Well thanks for lookin', i'm gonna go play PS2...

PS if you want a bigger version to color, tell me at Shidimna@hotmail.com, and i'll send one your way.

try posting it in the New Media Coloring Book (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17968). That's exactly for that kind of stuff.
Nice pic btw.

Hey, thanks Docboom, that would be a perfect idea, except for the fact that he want's no "Copyrighted Characters..." and The Punisher just so happens to be just that.... ohh well. Hey thanks anyway.

a technically well executed drawing, but as far as the character himself... i'm not all that familiar with the Punisher, but he doesn't strike me as quite the abercrombie and fitch type that yours seems to be. he just seems so wholesome and all american :)

for real, great drawing. but he looks way too nice. everything rocks hard, except the face. and the way you have the hair highlights implies to me that he has blond hair.and, the forarm (his left) the anatomy looks wonky, perhaps it's the veins, but that's just me. fix the face and you got a kick azz piece.

I think everything is great. True, the face doesn't seem to fit with the Punisher's personality, but it's still a good face, not a bad one. I like your style, though I'm not to keen on the lack of shadows which seems to negate a more substantial, third dimensional feel.

Have you ever tried a smudge stick for shading?

Hey guys Fianlly some comments! Woohooo!! And yeah, i know, i've heard a lot about the face... so here's what i was going for. He's kinda got a masculine sorta baby face (I think that's possible?) So he looks relaxed and like, "hey, you, yeah you're already dead so why should i worry? Huh? BOO!" and then you crap your pants. hahaha. And yes i've tried a smudge stick a few times, but they don't work well with inks, if ya know what i mean :-) haha.
And thanks again for all the comments!

Aah, haha, yeah. Smudge stick and inks aren't good together, you're right. Keep up the good work, though, I enjoy it.

yeah, like everyone I'm not really happy with the face. it looks too nice and young. you'd expect the punisher to look either angry or tired. maybe you could remedy this a bit by making him appear badly shaved.
