2 concept sketches for a persistant world type game featuring music subcultures as a main theme.

C & C appreciated, especially on how to work sketches like these into a as-close-as-I-can-get-to-professional type work

Thanks!

Refinement is the key.

Right now the images are very sketchy. Solidify the figures, find your light source, and push the values. Lose the extra lines, and once you've gotten the values to stand on their own, drop the lines. Seperate layers are very important.

First though, drop out the color and try to get the sketch to a more workable level. Bring the lines together, try and aim for one fluid line compared to many erratic lines.

Strike a pose in the mirror if need be. Reference helps out, especially when rendering digitally to help get the textures and values to work.

Just keep pushing.

Out.
