Hello everyone, been lurking this board for a couple of days, and thought I would be fun to join this place.
Im having some trouble with a drawing which I need to use as a concept for a 3d model, unfortunately my 2d side is not nearly as strong as my 3d side, and thats pretty damn frustrating.

I dont know what it wrong with it, but to me it lacks life completely, it just seems plain boring to be honest, Its not as much the pose Im worried about, its more the lines, I just cant get that life into them.
Any suggestions ?
If anyone would be so nice as to do a small paintover of just a small section of it where there is some life in it I would appreciate it alot, cause I just cant get life in it, seems I have this problem with all my drawings

There are three things that I find add life to an image that was previosly lifeless.

1st - Line Weight
Adding line weight is the simplest of the three and can add life and dynamics to the image.

2nd - Depth/Lighting
This takes more time and study. However it can add a huge amount of life to an image if done right. Or look retarded if done wrong.

3rd - Redo in a more dynamic view
Redraw the image based off the first from a different more elaborate angle. Looking up from his feet or something like that.

All in all your on the right track, keep it up!
