I haven't been around for awhile, but I'm back and decided to start posting regularly in the forums.
This one some of you guys have probably seen, I'm just reposting a brighter version of it to catch some of the detail lost in the first one I've posted before.
Pencils and Inks: Joe Madureira and Tim Townsend

I've seen this picture colored like fifteen times by different people. Anyway, nice job, it almost doesn't look like a Liquid ripoff. :D I remember when Liquid colored it, the glove and the central face drew my attention a lot more. Maybe there was a lot more contrast and such in the middle of that one. Also, all those glowing eyes really draw away from the glove.
That sky really sucks. Do something back there, not just slap on a photo of stars.
I think I'd like this a hundred times better if it was your drawing. By the way, you better credit Joe Mad in your description.

I painted that background bro. If you need proof email me..
It's just a repost for how dark it showed up on screen in november. http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=102749

It shows good skill. It would be worth your time to have a look at the *New Media Colouring book vol 2* in the sketches and ideas part of this site.
There are a lot of different linework styles in that thread that you could practice on, it may stop any subconscious emulation of existing colours.
Good stuff :)
