View Full Version : Tyring my hand at painting in photoshop.

i did this last night just to see if I could speedpaint I guess you could call it. Just some pointless little things. Though I'd just get a feel of things before I tried to do an actual person or something of consequence. The first I did with my tablet, the second with my mouse.

I did use a filter on this one, i just thought it made it look nicer. So tell me what I need work on, I really want to improve.

Wow, I'm guessing you're a good painter with traditional media? I really dig the second cloud. The only thing I can think to work on would be adding some texture, like on the grass, for example, to give the drawing some depth. Post some more stuff too!

the best advice i can give you is just practice, i know it sounds redundant but thats all there is to it. Just get alot of different pictures and paint from them, and dont be scared to experiment with brushsettings, layers and filters in photoshop ^^.

Actually I'm mediocre at best with painting mediums. I'm good at drawing however. I've got painter now, but it seems a little more advanced than photoshop. Well maybe just different. I'll practice with both though...
