Here's an idea I had for a SteamPunk soldier. I imagined the British, French and Prussians fighting it out on Mars in the 1870s. A colleage told me that Michael Moorcock wrote something along these lines, I forget the title of the book.

I'd like to do a British Royal Marine and a French Legionaire at some point.

c&c welcome

Here's a quick sketch for his helmet

the first one..his legs/boots are sorta lackin, maybe adding some buckles/buttons? to balance out the details of his upper body? and what is he standing on? interesting helmet!

Looks nice

brkofdon> Why balance the details with his upper body? I think it's good to have a focus on his head

great concept i like the lack of detail in the lower half it give's it more of a cobbled together steam punkish look

there are a couple of things that take away from the rest of the work though IMO, they are the tentacle thing at the bottom and the more careful detail, yet flawed perspective on the iron cross, it really drags the eye.
