hey all, i was working on pen and ink stuff last night, just messing around with different tips and stuff. i scanned it in to color it, and am looking for tips/suggestions. any help?

It looks nice, not sure if I have any crits though. Maybe have something for his eyes, but it looks good shadowed still.

Wow, I'd say its a really great illustration. Some awkwardness in his left leg (your right) but other than that, fantastic job.

Nice loose style, hard to crit.

1 general rule with inking is to make the foreground lines heavier than the backgound, to create depth.

The heavy border sort of throws me off, because of this reason.

PLUS - the hoove areas throw off the image, even though they are roughly inked, it looks like they weren't drawn that well and the inking was to hide that.

The head and pose is good.

hey, thanks for the comments. it's three more than i usually get. ha! as for the bull, i know the drawing isn't that good. i was just messing aroung with my new pen and ink stuff. i was more looking to be told how one colors something like this.
i know about line weight and how it determines depth, but i'm so all about borders like this sometimes. i hadn't thought it messed with the guys placement. but thanks for pointing it out. i'll think about it more next time before i pour on the ink.
