this would be considered a quick sketch if not drawn in front of people with lots of chattering;) (took about an hour)
i was not very focused while drawing, couldn't pay much attention to details; anyway the result isn't unsatisfactory...

any c&c are appreciated:chug:

well it's not bad. the creature's arms are a little funky, one looks longer than the other. and the creature's left calf shouldn't be so hidden.

P.S. I find it interesting that you use the same quote I do on my Ezboard account.

it's kinda like violator from spawn..:D i think it needs more work on the arms..plus he it doesn't seem to have a neck and the perspective needs some work..other than it' good this is just what i noticed when I saw it

i agree about the arms; actually they are looking TOO human-like. also the feet and legs need some more work. well, when (if:D ) i finish them, i'll post...

and some very quick (:p ) sketches (thumbnails actually, except the top left one). always had problem with faces and expressions, so WORK HARD i must:bash:

here's another one: a gladiator...
not finished yet, i'm planning to add a tiger or something at his feet, dead.

the legs (esp. the right leg) are problematic i guess, other than that, if any mistakes are seen don't hesitate to tell them; any crit would be helpfull.

his left arm (our right) looks like you curved it just so you wouldnt have it behind his leg. other than that, i like the drawing, but the updated version just looks like a heavier shaded version of the first one, and none of the placement and proportion issues have been noticeably changed.

The ribcage, the legs and the arms on the monster freaks me out, and everything looks pretty...disconnected. Study anatomy a little. Do alot of ref drawings, study more anatomy, apply your new knowledge to the next bunch of ref. drawings, and so on. After all that, you can go back to some monsters and concepts.
Draw draw draw!!

here's a little bit more of an update... some touch ups made on the chest area(got rid of the sharp lines between chest, ribs and; what it is called; stomach[?]), arms and legs(esp. the right one of the creature).

also; thanks everyone for crits. i see most of the points stated about the perspective and proportions but unfortunately the pencil i'm using is VERY hard to erase:confused:
i should have started drawing after being sure about such things, such is my mistake but as i've already said i was drawing in front of people at the beginning and, say, embarrassed a little(not used to it:D )...
now i'm trying to correct them without much erasing or to conceal them:D
anyway, thanks again and any crit about the other ones(esp. the gladiator one) would be welcome...

the lower body is too big for the upper body, but looks good for a sketch.

i sometimes get mad at myself, don't seem to make any improvements; maybe too harsh to myself, i don't know:bash:

anyway, everybody(i'm not good at remembering names:D ) thanks so much for comments...:chug:

but:D

i still need crit. for the gladiator-one... and posted a new thread, i'm working on some more dynamic poses; i'd appreciate if you take your time to make comments and critiques for this one. (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22617) :chug:
