View Full Version : Is there a pose requests thread?

Everyone knows it helps tremendously to have a live model on hand. Most of us have a couple people we can use regularly who don't mind it. But sometimes, you need a different body type, or nobody is available. Drawing from clear photos isn't quite as good as life drawing, but it's not a bad way to get help at all.

So what I propose is that there be a pose request thread. You post in a certain format what you're after (gender, body type, then either describe or rough sketch the pose), then people can volunteer themselves as models by taking photos of themselves in that pose. Then once a request is filled to the original commenters satisfaction, they can edit their comment to show their request was filled.

Does this thread exist already somewhere in the archives, or should I start it up? :)

I think you should start it. I haven't seen it here.

I second this. And for some other non-human refs as well. Like for example if someone would look for say... I dunno, maybe a certain kind of footwear or accessory or prop. I mean, I'd be glad to share refs for these kind of things if I happen to have what another person is looking for. Goodness knows how many times I've struggled to improvise on a lot of references before (oh the things you can do with packaging tape...), and I know for sure I'd appreciate this kind of thing if it existed. :)
