Hey all,
BIG FAT EDIT!
Stuff from my sketch book. Some influenced by Marko, after I'd seen him sketch in Amsterdam...;)
(thanks Jeff, for the Photobuket.com idea...sweet xxx)

Hey, like your work, esp. the one called party clown! It's wicked and sexy. Is it from ref?
Anyways, why dont you simply get an account @photobucket? - http://photobucket.com/ -
It's free, unlimited (except bandwith, but then you can just create another acc.), has a web-upload-interface and supports direct linking.
It's way better to directly see the images in ones thread, imho.
;)

Holy shit...this is great stuff! I've seen you post all over but this is the first time I think I've seen your art. I love how "fun" these pictures are, and also how twisted and, in some places, completely shameless. Bravo!

twisted
with a touch of brilliant!
i'm curious, on average, how long
do you work each of these? they
seem really quick but yet have a lot
going on in them. you seem to have
a good mastery of anatomy and
composition. this is the first stuff of yours I've seen..it's really good!
thanks for sharing keep up the good work. I missed amsterdam but I
am looking forward to learning TONS
in Austin....I hope my sketching looks
this great when i get back. :)

Hey Maldrin,
These pics were all done at work, with my favourite biro (it has a monkey dancing on the top, not very professional...) I'd say 3 were started in about 2hr - 2 half hours. They took about 3 days in total. After seeing Markos work in Amsterdam, I was inspired, I love his stuff, and his take on anatomy.
As far as your sketching goes, after Texas, you'll see the improvement in yourself and the way you think...is gonna be cool...
You going to Austin? See you there...

I like the pose and expression in the last pic. The big lady w/ the spiky pelvis and pit hair is a nice drooring too(though the lady is a bit frightening). I really like the texture in her skin protrustions (big spikes and little bumps) and her hair (yes, even her pit hair). nice stuff (I promise I'm not obsessed w/ pit hair).

Yaaaaaay! More stuff! Thanks for posting Molly. Your figure work is really coming along nicely, and your shading technique is showing improvement as well - not that it was lacking before. You're faces and concepts are looking more realistic and have a really good sense of volume. I'm really impressed with all of these recent pages, especially the page of faces with the bearded man on it and the squatting woman....very good stuff! Your blue ink work is very pleasing to the eye due to both composition and color.
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing! Greedy me says MORE!

Hey Maldrin,
Thanks mate! More on it's way, these are from a new sketchbook, I'm trying my best to fill it up top to end, without pulling pages out!
The page with faces, has my beloved on there, thats my favourite page. Many a time I use him for reference, he's got an interesting face. He also stays still for long, (cos he's watching TV!) The squatting women - I was trying a different angle, like looking up at her, from her knees, but it didn't turn out how it was in my head. I'll keep at it..
See you in Austin?

Which one is he (upper left? lower left? center right? all three??) your detail on the beard and appropriate anatomy for the angles of the head are really good. I've just recently done some drawing from life for the first time in a looooong time and it really helps me a lot!
but it didn't turn out how it was in my head. I'll keep at it..
That's right, you -will- keep at it or you'll be in trouble! I can't imagine how many times things didn't turn out how it was in my head, but I've had to learn that not being like it was in my head doesn't mean it's not good. Just like sometimes it turns out exactly as it was in my head, and it's still crap. ;)
See you in Austin?
hopefully so. I'll be there soaking it all up! hopefully I won't be so overloaded that I can't take notice of the peeps around me.
Later!

Maldrin - on the faces page, he's in the top left hand corner, side view, (wit the Wolverine-sideburn...) He does have big sideburns, I just excentuated them!
Heres some more. These are from an A3 sketchbook I keep, for, well, bigger stuff.
This one is supposed to be a Derelect Factory building. I'm not too good wit buildings an environments, but it's a start

This is a cartoony sketch of Justin Hawkins from The Darkness...(Guitar!)
