Need help for personal project ( school )

Hello everyone.

I do want to apologize for my english fist ( i'm french :) )
I'm actually working on a project for school, and if it works, get along and integrate the second year.
I do it with a friend, and we have to make an animatic, so just the picture with some characters moving around ( not animation, animatic ! ).

The story is simple, small viking is going to kill a dragon to show his village his bravery. But he is gonna destroy yggdrassil, tree of life.

Storyboard is done, chatacter too, we are starting to ink and paint on photoshop to make it on AE or Premiere.

The thing is, first scene takes places in the village, the sun is rising.
After 4 hours, we cannot find a way with colors or layers to have something decent :/

If anyone could help, that would be cool, as we have to get it done 1st june ! and still 45 scenes to do on photoshop + animate them on AE / premiere :/

PS: I just heard that the director of our school supervising the gaming section for next year doesn't want any lines on photoshop, so i'm struggled to do that work and still 20more to go before 6th june, day of the jury :/
if anyone could help with tips, or just a small palette of color who could fit, please answer me asap :'(
