Hey COW folks. It's been a long time since a tutorial was done by a COW winner about one of their victories. GoldenSerpent was kind enough to give us a peek into their process for their Alpha Land Predator from the Land, Sea, Air round. So here we go...

Artist: GoldenSerpent

Tutorial for: C.O.W. #200 Land, Sea, Air - Alpha Land Predator

Concept: Karnicore

I use VERY few brushes, here is what I used for this picture. Every once in a while I'll also use the default big soft brush I'm pretty sure most are familiar with it.

Squashed Airbrush(I rotate the angle around frequently depending on the spot I'm working on), Hard Round Brush, and Round Airbrush with scattering turned on.

Thnx for taking the time to do this! It's always good to see how other artists work, it helps us see how we can improve our own process!

Wow, very cool. I'm a big fan of this piece and it's cool to get the insight into your process. Even at the sketch stage, the lines are so confident and descriptive.

I've seen plenty of step-by-steps and DVD tutorials, and this one ranks up there with the best of 'em! Thanks for taking the time to share :)
