Finished today for an RPG book, this is a "Blood Drinker". They are basically Barbarian Mages. This picture is kind of different from the usual stuff I do. Most of my pics are static poses. This is one of the few that I have that have kinetics.
Enjoy!

You should use photo reference when drawing.

It shows especially on that back hand, where the palm totally wraps around the hilt.

well, i think the concept is good. some few pointers:

- the hand with the "fire ball" magic thingy seems to only have 4 fingers. I can see the pinky is behind the fireball, but many may not see it. I think you should've make that hand stand out more, since it's in front of the character

- i dont think the tatoo on the shoulder behind the fireball thingy should be seen.. much. its to "present".

- and what Teknoholic said, the fingers shouldnt close around the sword hilt completely.

ok, those wre my 2 cents :)

hey Drawnblud

erm, to be honest, i think you should really reconsider this image, and work on it a bit more, especially in terms of realism and lighting.
eyes, hands, general anatomy is a complex matter, and must come first while creating an illustration.

a small opinion of mine: the rpg world is a good thing, it's a universe where resources and inspiration can be infinite. however, i'd advice artists not to completely fall into these rpg styles, as they often remain imature and childish, most of the time anyway. my point is not to criticize your art or even rpg, but to make an advice concerning a general style that may look less professional than what you really think. and even if your aim is not to enter into the professional world, it is always a good thing to discover that there are artists out there that may influence your own vision and creativity.

keep it up.
