Hello,
I want to buy a book in order to paint some masters copies for practice. But I don't know does it matter whether a small book(in size ) or a bigger one.Or maybe people copy masters not from books but from reproductions.
So any help will be useful...
Thanks

The bigger the reproduction, the better. And if you can get in front of the real thing, then that's the best. A small reproduction can be good for laying out the general shapes, but bigger versions give you more of the details you'll need to finish the painting.

Thanks for the answers. In fact I won't be able to buy a book through internet.I thought I could buy not a book but only some reproductions which are supposed to be hang on walls. So they will be bigger.
I think of Degas' paintings because I read he was a master of design and arrangement.
As I read through forums I understand that this can be useful to learn how to manage colors.Well,I may be on the wrong way.
So if somone has an advice he is welcome
