Greetings folks.
I finnaly decided it was time to stop lurking and started posting. Until today I didn't post (except once or twice) for I thought I would just.. get in the way. A week ago though I met Jason Manly and Andrew Jones( who besides acomplished artists are very cool people. Hello if you're reading! ) (not at Amsterdam , I wish i had the money to get there). So here I am, encouraged to post and seek help.

Some scribbles of mine :

Bretton: Thank you kindly. :)

So, I decided that I am ready to forget all and re-learn it in a more proper way.
That is why i started by drawing the skull, and then I'll move on to the skeleton, the muscles and so on.

Here are some skulls I did with photo-reference.

http://mywebpage.netscape.com/DragosFlorin1978/craniumwork.jpg

In the next one the skull on the left is done with reference, but it is supposed to be a mongoloid male. The others were causacian skulls if I am not mistaken. The skull on the right is a rather quick sketch that I did in the end, without reference to see what I have learned.

insane visions : thank you. Hope they teach me something :). I visited your sketch thread too, and thought adding another "Wow, that's awesome, would be a bit redundant". You're way above any constructive advice I can make :). WAY! :)

obid619: Thank you though I have a long way to go before attaining drawing goodness :) .

brkofdon: Thank you. More color stuff can be found here (http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/loth/d/r/dragos/dragos.html) .

Groover McNab: Thank you kindly. I wouldn't say great, I'd say half decent.

flex mathews: Thank you. I'll wake up early tomorrow to get some drawing done before scooting to work :).

Xia: thank you :).

JackalAnubis : Many thanks. Though I am trying to improve the pencilwork right now as it laggs behind :). No more color till I'm satisfied with my lines.

WillSchnevel : Thank you :) .

I'm changing sleeping hours from 1:00 - 8:00 to 21:00- 5:00 so that I might get some hours of drawing before scooting to work.
So far it hasn't been working really well, reaaaaly sleepy in the morning so far. ( Well, this is the first day, so I hope things to get better later on).

These are some of the morning scribbles.

Okay... I allowed work to keep me from drawing . Almost six months have passed since my last post ( ack! ). ... enough.. never again. Once again, too long have I laid silent .. I don't seek excuses only your forgiveness :).
I'm back though. And thank you for your encouragement..

Thenk you Seraph, Nadim, mog and breakofdon :).

Here is some stuff that i did this past week getting back in gear :).

Archer sketch :

http://mywebpage.netscape.com/oddotheweird2/ca_arcasask.jpg

And then I did some color. But occured to me that she would be best facing the other way so I painter her back over a sketch with her in front. :). Strange stuff :).

If for any reason you don't see the pics even after a reload.. please let me know. I think netscape webpages might have gotten some more restrictions for allowing direct links.

Anyway here is the color for a riot scene thing. Not really too happy about it, I don;t like how faces turned out except the one closest to the viewer. It is done for a card game ( like the archer before and like the next few ones i'll be posting) so the final will be 9/6 centimeters... That is about 3.8 i/2.5 inches I think. Small. So that is why i didn;t put too much detail/texture into them :).

very nice painter skills, your sense for fitting colour schemes is very good!! I, however, prefer you sketches, which have very nice line-quality. maybe even too clean! very original. your faces are very nice indeed...

its a shame these last ones will be shrunk to like 2 by one centimetres, stuck on a card, and look like any other fantasy art there ever was, though!! :[ :nohope:

ODT :
Thank you for the kind words mate. In the end it was even worse. Colors got totally messed up by the print. They turned out dark and weird on the cards. Eh. Next time I'm sending them brighter :).

And now the next buch of odd stuff from my sketchbook. Don;t worry wou won't see nothing polished here:). Just click and open they are all jpegs.

Thought not to force you to load them all at once though :).

You did and excellent job capturing the facial features of different ethnicities in our sketches. Your original work is awesome, you have a ton of talent. And on top of all that, you really know your way around Painter.

Everything looks great!
