maybe try new colors..they look a little muddy...and remember: You don't always have to mix white in colors for highlights....nice bold colors can do the job without making everything look dull........but keep on painting!......Stark:beer:

an endless battle..
As far as highlights go, you're right... I'll try something to test that theory. These 2 above were more to test out a new custom brush and some composition tricks than anything else.
And now.. some more mud. I regret the yellow blotches near the 'highlights' already, but .... these are, afterall, quick studies. Pushing the boundaries of gaudy.

Good. I'm working up to something in the 'ewww that's disgusting' vein. Glad to see my tests are working out.
