I feel like an idiot posting this, but whatever. Terry Pratchett books and Douglas Adams Books sometimes have these weird gods in them, i always liked those... like a god of hangovers, a god of rain...
I seriously believe i am the god of minesweeper. Sorry NoUseFrAName, but that title is mine. I don't really excel at anything... except for that little game. On professional i often get times of 120 (if i can beat the game, sometimes it comes down to luck). The best i ever got was 95. No shit.
I used to play it in class and other kids would gather behind my back. Not a skill to impress the girls with, and it isn't going to earn me any money. How cheap is that?
Just think about it, there is something i do really well, a natural skill, and what is it?
Sports? No. Art? Nope. Even Poker? Think again. Frigging Minesweeper. :rolleyes:

Hi, just wanna say that im at 48 sec at solitare ( Win XP) i'l post a screenshot once i get home =) (in school now)

Tried to send it to guiness world records, no reply so far tho >< Good luck with better times, would be nice to have some competition, hehehe.

Trust me it's real. In truth, the times are pretty fast but as Calle said 47 secs is like the record. Shaving 1 second is hard enough but shaving 6 secs! Now that's a feat to be accomplished.

Erik- Some of the tactics I use is clearing the main piles on the green at all costs. Also, I'm not sure how many people know this, but if you right click anywhere it will put the cards that are in sequence up to the for places (this is a tactic I use often). And well, the rest is just up to the luck of the deal and how fast you are at clicking.

Calle- WOW :chug: 48 seconds! Now that's impressive! Yeah you should post you times it would be way cool!

( i have the swedish windows so Poäng = points, tid = time and harpan = solitare)

My strategies are mostly just based on speed, i try not to focus on the cards only recognizing color and the number of icons on the cards.
I dont prioritize any specific pile of cards, the closest first, you might have to re-deal but you could also cut the time by 1-4(or something) seconds. i watch the startcards at first to get a fast start and deal the cards if they suck^=). clicking right mousebutton every time a card is moved to have them all up there for a fast finish. another thing that worsk well is that i have quiet some experiance with real time strategy games like Starcraft: broodwar and warcraft, gives me accuracy and handspeed. mouse/mousepad might also be important, i use a logitech MX300 (awesome for RTS games) with a fUnc mousepad wich really gives a super flow.

Thats it from me, have fun trying to beat my record, if you try that is =). ( i do play alot of solitare, hehe)

thanks dude =). i have looked like everywere for good solitare players and if anyone knows the official record time, would be cool to know =).

By the way, anyone knows where to find a program the records directley from the monitor picture to a .avi/.mpg file? it would be cool to record a game so i could show you how i play =). (not because i think its super or anything).

Did a live show once thru a webcam, i think i got like 51 sec on that one, well, enugh of this, dont wanna bore you any more.

Buddy if you lived in a culture that more socially accepted video games and it was ok to play them 10 hours or more a day, I'm sure anyone could click 400 times a minute with a mouse and own other people at video games. Its like how a high percentage of people can draw they just need practise. Speaking of drawing go do some and stop playing solitaire!
