Hey Everyone,
I use Grumbacher fine artist pens right now...but I think I eventually want to get that rapidiograph set of the different size pens. My question is the following: What white ink is good for the rapidiograph and also can you buy disposable "white-inked" pens. For instance...does Grumbacher sell a white ink pen. I want to be able to draw over top of the black ink to add highlights...etc. I have a white prismacolor pencil and winsor gouache as of now...but I would rather do it all in ink. Anybody find a good white ink?

hey mcm. try searching for comic artist sites in the web, whiteout is a tool that is often used by comic artists. most of them are crazed about ONE special brand that works best for them. lots of artists -> lots of opinions -> lots of brand names and tools to choose from.

Oh hey Gekitsu,
Sorry about that...I think my post is really unclear. I mean actual white ink. Like if I were to buy a technical pen...What white ink would I pour into the barrel. I am thinking of learning to draw with white ink on black paper as well to simulate the masters of old. Sorry about that. Didn't mean to be confusing like that.

hey, i went to borders yesterday and saw a really good book talking about that. and many more pen and ink techniques. I suggest checking in ur local borders. I can't remember the title, but check for paint and ink techniques, or something like that. I t has some pens on the cover and some splattered effect of blue and red colors. Its a really good book. One of the best ive seen on pen and ink. The guys also a fabulous artist as well.
