I also think they're great but it would look even better if you used more contrast.

great stuff
alot the drawings are very original, especially your alien fish man thing. The contour lines are fantastic, especially in your life drawings. the shading needs work though. I would put some very dark shades of grey in there. I would use a 3b or darker on the deep blacks. the drawings already have a very voluminous feel to them, and more contrast would make them jump off the page. great stuff!

the first life drawings have the gesture but they are very weak. If your using alot of line you may be afriad to explore. Try 'blocking' (not drawing) in large areas of mass first, next time then let it evolve your way.

Hi there
It would seem to me that you are drawing the contour of the
model insted of feeling the volumen, you see, while doing gesture
drawigns forget about doing the details at all, just make curved
rithms, imagine for example, a line that goes from the head to the feet
of the model, and a line form the left hand to the right hand, forget
about the contours of the model, and forget about the details.
I think that with you actual shading and proprocion
level this thread might help you:

i try to feel the body. Perhaps differently that the way you think of it....i look my drawing and i think (for exemple) :" have i got the same feeling about what my model is really looking and what my drawing is looking?". That's true to, i draw contours a lot but i try to draw volumes since few by drawing plasters from life, so it is easier for me to draw volumes from plasters because i can look it from several focus. When i draw characters, time is really shorter (10 min each postions) so i have only 2 hours-lesson a week.
Thanks for the link, it's probably the one which is the most usefull and it's the way of drawing i try to learn from.
