An attempt at doing a daily sketchbook... This one will mirror to my sketchbook web site which you can check out right HERE. (http://www.aphoticimage.com/kylerssketchbook/)

All of my older stuff is there, I also have some finished drawings up on my main site HERE. (http://aphoticimage.com/) My name is Kyler, Chris is an associate.

I've been in a total funk for a couple of months now, and checking out Killing Peoples daily brought me back to life, these are all drawings from the past 2 weeks. Some drawings are from life drawing class I take weekly up at Callanwolde Fine Arts in Atlanta.

Excuse little notes. Many of these are unfinished, but will be WACOM painted. I'll be sure to post any WIP's.

ANY CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK IS MASSIVELY APPRECIATED. I'll be starting in Illustration at RSAD this fall, and wish to improve about 4 times over before I get there.

Anyways, first batch:

The page that started it all... The release me thing is totally inspired from a drawing in Killing Peoples sketchbook.

Newer figure drawing, experimented with charcoal, I dislike these greatly...

Long pose shots, I find the archer one to be semi-sucessful... Minus the foreshortening/length problem with the right arm and the wrist problem with the left... It looks like the model, at least.

More after class Wednesday... I'll also try to take some pictures of my first figure sculpture from the class on Thursdays.

you definetly got a freaky style (meaning that in a good way). Keep it up man. maybe work on your proportions and anatomy

Thankee sai obid... Do you have any paticular pieces in mind in which I should correct anatomy/proportion?

Started painting the puppetry image... I'm just laying down values now... Thinking of going with a red/blue-gray color scheme...

Figure drawings from tonight. I really like the way the start of the long pose (sitting) is looking... I was reading Dante's Inferno right before class and it kind of inspired me to really try to push my darkest values... Really contrast him off the page... And make him look as evil as possible while still being subtle. We'll see how it finishes out next class, I guess.

3 minute quickie poses... Still trying to figure out my technique for these... (please excuse bad photography, too large to scan)

And a detail

A progression on the puppetry image, I will probably do some more work on it tonight.

And... Because I'm an extremely pathetic fanboy... a 10 minute photograph paint-over to make myself look like Kevin Llewellyn :)

The paint over is cool. It reminds me (this is kinda cool:P) of http://www.livejournal.com/community/webcomics/92059.html#cutid1

Yesi t looks nothing like it but what im saying is paint overs are intersting and ive never seen it done, its an interesting idea or technique whatever yo uwant to call it andi think you can use it more.. the paint over is cool.

I also like the idea of the eyes being socketless and just kinda flat. Its interestingi ndeed. Yes theyre sketches but the effect is intersting if you go past the work and look at it as a piece. I hope you do something with that. if not I will :P

You should redo the legs in that The full composition of the long pose that will be finished next week:

I really looks too small fer that chest.
The close up reminds of G.W.Bush. hehehehe.

The paint over is cool too, you pathetic fanboy, you. tsktsktsk.

The archer is the best piece imho. But the left arm is off where it connects to the wrist.....looking again you allready covered that, sorry. Nice work though, keep it up and work your skulls.

Heh... This model is insanely out of proportion. He has this massive barrel chest, and short little legs. I'm thinking of evening him out just to fit my own purposes, haha. But you'll see on any of my other drawings of him on my sketch site, huge upper body, little girl legs.

It's also weird about the George Bush thing, because everyone in class the other night was commenting on how this person or that persons was looking like G.W.Bush, and mine was the only one left out... Still ended up drawing ol' Dubbya I guess, haha...

Thanks a lot for the comment, your body painting stuff freakln rocks.
