for some reson my tablet won't work right with my new G5...

I just works like a normal mouse and not a tablet. ex: if I touch the certain area on the tablet it doesn't automaticaly "jump" the pointer to that area. it just acts like a normal mouse. there is no control panel ether. I look under Harware and there is no tablet Icon. Its very frusterating.

I've tried to press the "Pen" buton in the top right of the tablet itself...nothing. still acts like a mouse. I tried re-installing the software/hardware from the driver disc...It just tries to open in Adobe InDesign and shows an error message.

Anyone have any clue what to do? I am very thankful for any help anyone can offer on the subject....thanks in advance.

EDIT: BTW its a 9X12 Intuos2 tablet...it works fine on my PC as well...

EDIT2: I heard that all the preferances and such for the Wacom are now in the Aplications folder of OSX...but I can't find it in there anywere :(
