Started out on a more serious pic but it didn't work out very well.
Oh, and I actually prefer Burgerking over McDonalds.

Naming the armour pieces was probably a mistake but f**k it.

Morr - I like the colours and the front of the hover steed.
JSlayer - Great face on the mount... particularly the gatling gun in the gob.
jasonka - The last one is the best IMHO. Would look good if taken further.
artistanbul - I like the roughness of that. He looks beaten and ragged like he's been on the road most of his life. Nice.
kapturowski - Haha. Nice idea... and a mini gatling gun this time. Looks good.
Tenelaus - Interesting colour choice. The holo shield looks great.
xbiten - Quite a cool design with a touch of retro about it, but the arms and the sword are very hard to read at a glance.
sone_one - I really like this one... particularly the face (looks chinese?) and the shoulder/chest armour. Great no frills design.

i dont think ill work on this further, so heres the (last) update.

thanks gumdrop... what is "no frills design"? not beein an english native speaker sometimes sucks hard ^^. i really love your use of the brushes to convey texture, and realistic lightning effects! great example again :)

Here's a quicky today, got a lot of family stuff to do today.
About 45 minutes in Painter.
http://www.shawnadomanis.com/dsg/dsg410.jpg
Morr - That is very nice. That horse is really kickin'.
JSlayer - I like the idea. Nice, uh, gun there under the horse...hahha.
jasonka - Wow, you posted three before I could do one. I like the one at the bottom the best.
artistanbul - Nice sketch. I am especially partial to the mutant hand.
kapturowski - Evil burger corporations exist today, I guess they are MUCH worse in a thousand years... well done! That gun is great.
Tenelaus - Cool energy shield.
xbiten - I don't know if it is me or not, but there doesn't seem to be a handle for the huge sword, so it appears that he is grabbing "himself" and the sword is just leaning against him.
sone_one - I really like the armor design. Very Bubble Gum Crisis like. I like the updated version much better.
Gumdrop - Damn!! That is really nice. I love that weapon on his back.

shadoman - They sure do, a friend recently got a moth in his burger at Mcdonalds, they claim it must have been in the salad, but we all know that hey put it there! :) I like the design of your Paladin, the background feels a little distracting, maybe a dark gradation towards the ground would tie it together better?
gumdrop - You have a very nice rendering technique, it's always nice seeing your stuff!
All praise the holy hamburger!

Thanks kapturowski.
sone_one - By no frills I mean simple and clean... not cluttered up with un-necessary detail and gadgets etc...
shadoman - Cheers. The shoulder gun is mean't to be connected to the Paladin's heart/soul which is the essence of pureness and righteousness. He can tap into this holy energy and channel it out through the gun... or something like that. :p
Love your style. The V design of the breast plate is cool. I love the shoulders too.

Um yeah so in 3012 things have regressed abit, there is less metal to go around for armor bits and pieces, but at least the clothes are warm. Which is good considering a new ice age is upon the planet. This future paladin comes fully equipped with the newest in bio-technological advances, and fights with her hands and feet, or the Book if needed.
Unfortunately there was no time / room for her boots ;(

kapturowski - Thanks for the input, I redid it and lightened/darkened some areas. It seems to pop a lot more now. I have only had a tablet at home for a few days now and I am still getting used to using it in Painter. I use Illustrator and Photoshop at work and we do all medical stuff, so there is not much room for creativity or anything. I am finally getting back into doing more expressive work, and I need to remember the basics...
Another 15 minutes in Painter.
http://www.shawnadomanis.com/dsg/dsg410b.jpg
DV8 - Nice colors and dotted-style.
JBX - Oh man, I love it. The style is cool.
Cold - I love the colors. I agree with the others, I wish it were bigger, or at least had more clarity around the main character.
dimness - I am really diggin' the style and quick swashes of colors, but I don't understand what he is doing in the foreground. Is he reaching in a bag? Or putting on a shirt? I just cannot tell.
Gumdrop - Thanks for the comments. Again, your backstory of the concept always brings so much to your work.

old time palladins and knights usualy fought in large tournaments. They always got this piece of fabric of a certain colour, representing either their clan colour (whatever symbol) or a gift from a lady, for whom they dedicate the batlle.
And as for the future-like paladin I really like to believe they are using same old blades and armour (maybe advanced armour though) - see Dune :)). I hear paladin I see what i just drew, can't go too deep into future redesigning it.
sorry for my spelling skills.
