Hmm, I just started drawing this face in my head and it turned out like this goblin thing. The neck diamond thing is just temporary until I actually start on the body. How would I get his face looking more, I dunno, detailed. Comments and Crits always welcome.

draw every day and train a lot and you'll get better quick.
look at www.polykarbon.com for basic drawing tutorials, they help a lot, when you start drawing.

do you have any programs you can draw with on your computer and a scanner/camera? a fun thing you could do is scan/take a picture of it and draw details over top of the picture on your computer... so you can see what the changes will be like without messing up the paper. then you might get a better idea about what you want to do with it next. nice work so far! keep it up!

Wow good idea. Yes I can scan/edit it with gimp. Thanks for the idea, I am studying some more anatomy tonight and attempting to draw a foot. It will be posted on my daily sketchbook.

i think it is important to understand the human anatomy before venturing off on goblins and other (humanesque) creatures, mostly because they are derivative exaggerations of the human form in the first place, so if you get a good understanding of basic anatomy, than you will be able to come up with a greater variety by simply deforming certain parts of the human body. If you are interested in anatomy i suggest the loomis books (www.saveloomis.org).
