Hi Everyone

I am new to this Message Boards at conceptart.org . Still need a lot of improvement but would like your opinions too on how I can improve. These sketches were mostly done from a min to 15mins and an hour study for the statue and the skull.

Thanks

Hello, and welcome. I really like your sketches. They seem rather scratchy..that may be due to scanner if not oh well, the overall anatomy looks good to me. What I love most about them is that you've captured the bends, twists, of each model.
I tend to like seeing the sketches of "imperfect" humans rather than the all popular "playboy" model. Because just like doing portraits of Old people you have so much movement involved that it gives a more realistic mood. Continue your awesome sketches. good luck.;) "BTW=nothing against the drawing of the "playboy" model in case some people take what I said a wrong way?"

Wow.......104 views and just one reply. Guess I am in the wrong place.

Thanks Snowball for the comments, much appreciated. Since my drawings are on a 24x30 newsprints, the only way I could get them into digital files were to shrink them through photocopy to 8x11 and then scan in photoshop on my 8x11 flatbed scanner. But now I have got a Digital camera, so it will be easier to just shoot the newsprint size and transfer to PC, unless there's a better way to do it? I will post some new ones I have done later, hopefully I will get more than one c&c and keep me posting more.

You're not in the wrong place at all!

Don't get discouraged, I know it sucks when you don't get responses to your threads, but don't take it personally. There's just so much in this forum to look at, and it's easier to look than it is to respond.

I really like your work, you have a great line and sense of form. Especially considering how many times these were reduced on a xerox! :p

Are you responding to other peoples' threads? I started doing that when I first got here, and then I found those people will often respond to mine. It's a matter of becoming a part of the community.... it's all about networking.

Definitely don't stop posting. I'm looking forward to seeing those digital pics!
