Smellybug, Scotty, Art, and Willow-Wisp have inspired me to dust off the old super sculpy, and give it a try again.

Great Tutorial SMELLYBUG!!! Finally I know how to do it the right way, I can't wait to see your painting tutorial.

The pics below are some old maquettes (about two years old) done without proper instruction. They are brittle and falling apart, so I thought I would get pics of them while they are still together. C&C welcome!!

Tharoon Maquette, first one ever done:

Nyarlathotep Maquette, second one done, from H.P. Lovecraft story:

Necronomicon book prop:

Plant character from an animation short:

A creature sculpted from a dream I had (not a nightmare either). With the help of Smellybugs tutorial, now I will try to sculpt the full body version:

Thanks for the inspiration. Additional views are posted on my link below, and I also have alot more to upload. Enjoy!!

The first one looks like one of the races from the PC game WarWind. Think they were called Tha' Roon?

That last one is awesome.

Yeah, your right Spacey it was called a Tha'roon. That maquette is actually about 8 yrs old now that I think of it. I helped design the four different races on that game and WarWind 2, actually that was my first game that I worked on at Dreamforge.

Thanks for looking! I will post more soon...

Great work, great stuff. Yeah...dust those tools off and get back at it. Those are some entertaining pieces. If I was forced to give a crit, I'd maybe suggest being a little more subtle with the paint, maybe a little less primary color action. Keep at it. Glad you like the tutorial. I'm posting final pics tonight, so chech that out when you have the time.
