first time being first
no this is not a photo manipulation and yes those are lame painter preset brushes but my other potential image was severely offensive in every way

I don't have time to do one today, but here's a graphite/watercolor that I did about four years ago for a children's story. Figured it fit the descripion "strange events in the garden" :D

DV8 - Sweet thumbnail and nice composition.
artistanbul - The first one is really nice... very cool style.
Mr Man - yep... you're gonna have to help me here. A birds eye?
JSlayer - Good idea. Cute gnomes.
jasonka - Like the way you have depicted the sun.
Oregano - Love the slugs texture and colour.

I have a new idea for a dsg topic with all the talk of naughty things, we should have a topic called shock value. Everyone has to do the most nastiest thing they can think of! I am gonna try to get a piece done later today I hope. See yall later.

Hehe, I have that problem of not being clear enough.
Its some sorta vortex in the garden, only a quick doodle.
I might do another pic to make up for it.

gumdrop-again i love the brushes you're using in this pic.my only crit is that i'd made the girls butt more soft-means use another brush that isn't so scratchy.
kapturowski-only thing i don't like are the houses and the general background-looks too plain and lifeless.love the cat,she seems really to enjoy herself.:)

I hope that you can figure out what's going on.. just in case my idea was her hand touching the water begins to grow scales (like a koi).

Kind of a traditional idea here.
Worked on it for 20 minutes, went to a party for 5 hours, came back and in 10 minutes got this out...

I thought it would be nice to give the weeds a chance to pull the humans.
Trevor: Your story made my day.
kapturowski: There are so many stories in your image. Is the Cat simply waiting for an opprotune time to devoru the garden gnomes? Are the garden gnomes using the cat as a courier to transfer gnome cortiband to neighboring tree? Great stuff.
artistanbul: I love the heavy style elements of the image.

JSlayer, Gumdrop and Sheldon:
Thanks for the compliments guys, I wish I had more time for each DSG (for more exploration) but sometimes its tough just getting a quick thumbnail out like this one :). I need to work on my colour more :)
JSlayer- I like the whimiscal quality- alot of people go "dark and edgy" here (myself included sometimes)
Sheldon- I dig the land shark!
Gumdrop- nice colours- feels so "lush". nice contrast

Brushes? Just Painter default's... usually a base of feather oils - built up with palette knives and pens.
