haha. there have been a lot of god ones of late. but im not one to complain. so long as i have something to get rid of this writer's block, and i can draw.... im just fantastic. besides i really had fun with yesterday's.

very stylistic Artistanbul. really would love to figure out how to do something like that. looks almost tribal.

for this type of drawing, I use Aura. You may not know it but some folks will definitely remember deluxepaint in amiga. well this is its successor. it first came as TvPaint to PC. Then it became aura. Until recently I've never used any other program to draw. Even though I use photoshop everyday, painting/drawing with it never crossed my mind.

anyway, the cool thing about aura is you can draw an outline and have it automatically filled with plain or volume mapped color/gradient. This drawing was made by simply adding and deleting.

while I have the chance I must say that I like all the contributions. :)

alright played around with this one way too much! 3.5 hours in painter with intuos 2 pad. man does my hand hurt. haha. i really like the turnout, though i dont like the sheet music in the back. kinda rushed it and cant draw straight lines for crap. i am fully guilty of using photo reference.

This is my first of what I hope will be many posts.
I had trouble coming up with an actual tangible god of music so I went with something more abstract.

This took about 30 minutes (the same length of time as the Tiger Army CD I was listening too). I pretty much let the music dictate the image as I figured it would be apropriate for the topic. It was a great exercise considering I am just learning how to yuse painter.

village idiot: The god of pop is classic. The only thing I would add would be droves of real musicians being crushed under it feet. ;)
