I drew insperation, for both of these sketches, from the art of the game Diablo 2. I want to paint it in Photoshop. What do you think?

if a game developer is what u want to be, a game developer u WILL be, that's how i see it. yet as a fine artist you're not really 'developing' a game, more like developing the artwork for the game.

you're sketches are nice enough, strong lines, no question you have talent inside you. yet atm you are underdeveloped. take some figure study courses and practice your heart out. a paint course will help bring out an awareness to light and shadow for volume.

work hard and you'll make it fine.

good luck dude.

I would like to study at "Gnomon School of Visual Effects" but I don't know how apply as an International (I am from South Africa) student. Also, I don't know anyone in the USA and I don't know where I would find a place to stay. I also don't have the money to pay to go study there. Does anyone know how I would be able to get a student loan?
:help:
Would you guys please try and help me out, thanx.

Would anyone please help me out here? I only read 2 tutorials - both only show the steps as images and does not show how the steps came to be. Links to any good painting tutorials would be real nice. I use photoshop. Please see if you can help me out.

the only things I can suggest for your painting technique are use a bigger brush to block out the image, it stops it looking so grainy, get some practice with live models and/or photographs to get the skin tones right. Use your lines, if you're just trying to get an idea across it isn't necessary to do a complete paint, alter the line colour to suit the colour behind it to get a better general look.

BTW the sad face looks more pensive or thoughtful
