i've posted this on other forums as well, so there is a good chance that you've seen this already. but anyhow... i wanted to post a whole step by step process, since i really enjoy when other people do that. so here it is, cleaned up lineart, sketching of shadows on a printout of lineart, and almost finished final piece...

im really digging the rendering on the chest area, btw, whats he holding? also... im not sure if its anything you can fix now... but the sketches of the skull before you rendered it had alot of personality in it... but now its gone. i know this is a wip, so this may not count, but i wanted to bring that to your attention.

i think im gonna put a sign "No Smoking" in his hand... but it might look too cheesy here. might be some kind of a spear, no guns though. i dont know yet.

as for skull, yeah i need to make his eye sockets a bit bigger (they are bigger in sketch) and i also need to darken his jaw in the joint section... in sketch it feels as if he is smiling (which is what all skulls do) but in the final one there is not enough contrast on it. its fixable.
